Honoring George Leonard through Inspired Relationships

Barry Robbins  &  Pam Kramer

Authentic human connection elevates and transforms our relationship with ourselves, one another, and the world. Our hearts open and our lives are greatly enriched when we experience the power of love transmitted through genuine and skillful communication. We are comforted, healed, and empowered when we are fully heard, acknowledged, and understood.

This experiential workshop honors the spirit and remarkable contributions of human potential pioneer, master communicator, and Esalen president emeritus, George Leonard. Interweaving his principles of thoughtful, clear, and heartfelt communications, this workshop relies not on words alone, but on all dimensions of our being—mind, body, heart, and soul—found in Integral Transformative Practice® (ITP), created by Esalen cofounder Michael Murphy and George Leonard.

The workshop centers on the practice of Staying Current, a peaceful communications approach for increased understanding, compassion, and the positive transformation of relationships. This workshop also incorporates the concepts of Aikido found in Leonard Energy Training™ (LET), which uses the body as teacher to illustrate effective communication strategies in everyday life.

You will learn about:

• Being conscious and in touch with your body for vital signals

• Balancing, centering, and other integral practices for creating mutual harmony

• “Blending” – seeing issues from your partner’s point of view, without losing your own

• Communication tools such as empathic listening and mindfulness practice for shared understanding

• Strategies for allowing conflict to deepen connection

• Developing the capacity to “read” another person non-verbally

• “Entrainment” – becoming at one with your partner

This workshop involves physical movement but is not strenuous. All that’s needed is a generous heart and a willingness to participate. The workshop is ideal for individuals, couples, and business partners seeking enhanced communications and inspired relationships.

CEUs available for MFTs and LCSWs.
