The Eye of the Storm: Finding Refuge and Resource in the Midst of Chaos
Rebecca McLean
&
Maya Shaw Gale
Our current global climate requires us to be able to navigate the turbulent weather of rapidly shifting social, economic, and environmental conditions. How can we do this with equanimity and grace? Such times call for tapping the resources of collective intelligence as well as personal insight and intuition. Also, chaos can be experienced as a powerful crucible for transformation.
Join us for this weekend retreat where we'll create "the eye of the storm," a sanctuary for slowing down and accessing our own authentic wisdom from within, and the guidance that emerges from attuned relationship with nature and others. Through experiential and mindfulness-based practices drawn from somatic psychology, Qi Gong, Authentic Movement, Council Circle, life coaching, and indigenous wisdom teachings, you will have the opportunity to:
• Learn Body/Mind Prescriptions (empowering self-care practices)
• Become a fully present and compassionate observer of your inner and outer worlds
• Expand your tolerance and trust of being with chaos and the unknown
• Befriend and transform your resistance to change and take refuge in "that which never changes"
• Shift from habitual, reactive patterns to awareness and choice
• Move beyond the limitation of the brain-mind to the expanded field of the heart-mind and body intelligence
• Use Nature's Mastery Mandala™ as a map for finding balance and harmony with nature’s cycles and your own organic rhythms
Please bring a journal or notebook and a small pillow.
