SBGI: Body and Self in Relationship: The Practice of AEDP
Diana Fosha
This course will explore the psychological and somatic dimensions of the therapeutic relationship, including the impact of sensations, breath, and somatic experience on therapist-client interactions. It will also shed light on how Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) may foster healing through the in-depth processing of difficult emotional and relational experiences. The integration of psychodynamic theory and relational somatic-inclusive psychotherapy practice is considered from developmental and relational perspectives.
This course is part of the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute Certificate Program in Relational Somatic Psychology. The Certificate Program is inspired by the SBGI somatic psychology post-graduate academic curriculum and consists of a rotating series of practice-oriented and academically sound Relational Somatic Psychology courses.
