Yoga, Chanting and Drumming: A LOVE Day Celebration

During this Valentine’s Day celebration, we will open our hearts through yoga, chanting, drumming, dancing, and meditation. By immersing ourselves in these ancient art forms, we will strengthen the power and beauty of divine love within us and create a community of spirited, musical, and radiant beings.

Chandra Easton will guide both active and restorative yoga sessions to cultivate balance, strength, and suppleness of body and mind. These nurturing, non-competitive sessions are appropriate for beginners and experienced yogis alike, with variations and adjustments given to make the practice appropriate for each individual.

Marla Leigh will guide us through a musical journey that will open and ground us into being fully present in the moment. We will explore traditional Middle Eastern, African, and Indian rhythms and create our own drumming meditations to help connect us with our power and creativity. In this way, we will explore how to embody the sacred through music. We’ll spend evenings in ritual, meditation, dancing, chanting, instrument making, and storytelling.

No prior yoga or drumming experience is necessary. Drums will be provided. Please bring a yoga mat, a journal, and an open heart.
